Matt is an experienced litigator and business executive. Matt has argued successfully before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Indiana Supreme Court and various federal and state trial courts.
Before joining DeLaney & DeLaney, Matt was President and CEO of the Health and Hospital Corporation; adjunct professor at I.U. Maurer School of Law; partner at Baker & Daniels; Chief Counsel to the Indiana Governor; Special Counsel to the Indiana Attorney General; and law clerk to Judge J. Clifford Wallace, U.S. Court of Appeals-Ninth Circuit.
Matt has been inducted into the Indiana Business Hall of Fame and been awarded the I.U. Distinguished Alumni Service Award, NAACP-Indianapolis Humanitarian Award, Drum Major for Justice Award, President Benjamin Harrison Public Service Award, I.U. Maurer School of Law Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award and named an Indiana Top 10 Super Lawyer.
