DeLaney & DeLaney LLC is a boutique law firm with a growing and diverse civil litigation practice. We would like to expand our exceptional team of five attorneys, two paralegals, and two legal assistants. Ann DeLaney and Kathleen DeLaney began their litigation practice in Indianapolis in 2002, as one of the first mother-daughter law firms in the state. In 2005, Ed DeLaney joined the firm following his retirement from Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Matthew R. Gutwein, an experienced litigator and business executive, joined the firm as a partner in 2021.
We value diversity in our practice areas and our clients - as well as our lawyers and staff.

About DeLaney & DeLaney LLC
DeLany & DeLaney LLC is an Indianapolis-based boutique law firm with a thriving and diverse civil litigation practice. DeLaney & DeLaney provides top quality legal services to a wide variety of clients in nearly all types of civil litigation, including class actions, FINRA arbitrations, employment-related disputes, and contract drafting, negotiation, and litigation – particularly representing physicians and executives. Our lawyers represent clients ranging from individuals to units of local government, to America’s largest corporations. We value diversity in our practice areas and our clients - as well as our lawyers and staff. We do good work, while doing good, while loving what we do as lawyers.
We plan to add another associate attorney to work alongside our two partners, three associates, two paralegals, a legal assistant, an office administrator, and law clerks. DeLaney & DeLaney maintains a relaxed, collegial, and productive workplace environment. We accommodate flexible hours requests and hybrid in-person and remote work. We offer a robust benefits package. Located in an historic house between downtown and midtown Indianapolis, we keep our office doors open and encourage collaboration. We meet weekly for firmwide lunch, have an onsite pickle ball court, and enjoy at least quarterly firm outings.
Ideal candidates will hold an Indiana law license and have one to three years of litigation experience. We are looking for candidates who are interested in working at a very high level on all aspects of litigation, arbitration and appeals.
Our new associate attorney will handle depositions, written discovery, motion practice, hearings and trials. Other duties will include drafting pleadings and briefs, covering court hearings, and maintaining communication with clients, witnesses, and experts. As a small firm, all of our lawyers must be nimble, flexible and client-facing.
Pay will be commensurate with experience and credentials. Benefits package includes employer provided health insurance (firm pays 100% of premium), 401k with profit sharing and safe harbor matching, defined benefit retirement plan, health savings account, paid holidays and PTO, and free parking. Required materials should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
