Client Referrals
DeLaney & DeLaney has been very fortunate to receive enormous support from colleagues in the legal community in the form of referred client matters. Referrals from other attorneys make up the bulk of our practice. Our firm handles many matters that were referred to us due to direct or positional conflicts encountered by their regular legal counsel. We also receive referrals from lawyers whose expertise does not match the demands of the particular client matter. When you have a client or professional contact in need of legal services that you are unable to provide, due to conflicts or other reasons, we will leverage our expertise for the benefit of the client. We will provide excellent service to your client for a specific engagement.
Co-Counsel
DeLaney & DeLaney has served as co-counsel, teaming up with other law firms in cases where our attorneys' particular expertise and experience have benefited the client. We have worked with attorneys from down the street, around the State of Indiana, and out of state. We have teamed up with lawyers who do trial work and with those who prefer not to do trial work. We have handled appeals with trial counsel as co-counsel for the appeal.
We offer our services for co-counsel engagements in trial and appellate courts in the federal and state systems. Co-counsel arrangements may be structured in a number of different ways to accommodate client needs and referring co-counsel's preferences.
Local Counsel
DeLaney & DeLaney's attorneys have served as local counsel for law firms stretching from California to New York. Their local counsel work has included securities, product liability, pharmaceutical, defamation, employment discrimination, contract disputes and other types of cases. We are worthy of consideration for local counsel engagements in arbitration and litigation in both the state and federal systems in Indiana.
Our attorneys are well-known and hold prominent positions in their legal communities. Two of our attorneys have recently served as judicial law clerks in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. One of our attorneys recently clerked at the Indiana Court of Appeals. Our attorneys know their way around the courthouses, and know the local rules in the courts where they practice. One of our attorneys is a member of the Local Rules Advisory Committee of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
Outside Litigation Counsel
Our attorneys have served some of America's largest corporations from many different business sectors as outside litigation counsel. We have successfully built long-standing relationships with corporate counsel from around the nation. Our attorneys recognize our obligation to minimize the transaction cost on each legal matter. We work to control costs whenever possible.
We understand the needs and desires of corporate counsel and we value opportunities to work with them as a team. We view our relationships with corporate counsel as collaborative partnerships. We understand the time demands and budgetary pressures that corporate counsel face. We listen actively to the business objectives of corporate counsel and tailor our representations to meet their needs. We work collaboratively, consulting corporate counsel as appropriate and always keeping them informed in a timely manner. We aim to achieve success as defined by the client.
As a certified Women Business Enterprise, our firm partners with corporate counsel to achieve supplier diversity goals. As a smaller, niche supplier of legal services, DeLaney & DeLaney leverages competitive advantages for the benefit of corporate clients.
As outside counsel, we are willing to work with your corporation and in-house lawyers by providing prompt and responsive assistance. Whether it is as lead counsel, serving a supporting role, or being part of a team with outside counsel from other firms, we look forward to working with you.
